Road closure on B3006 between Ham Barn Roundabout and Petersfield Road, Greatham
The following notification has been received from Hamshire County Council :
"Commencing Monday 5 January 2009 Hampshire County Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works at the above location between the Ham Barn roundabout and the junction with Greatham village. The works will be carried out between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 and are expected to last for approximately 8 days during which time the road will be closed to through traffic with a diversion via the A3, A325 Woolmer Link and back through Greatham.
During this time every effort will be made by our Contractors to allow vehicular access to and from your property, however there may be times when a short delay is unavoidable and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance should any inconvenience be caused."
Given the volume of traffic that normally uses the B3006 Selborne Road during the day, this will obviously mean a lot more additional traffic through the village. Residents should therefore take additional care when passing through the village during this period, especially at school collection time.
