Greatham Parish Council advertises 6 vacancies
The notice of a vacancy on the Greatham Parish Council has been published following the surprise resignation of six Parish Councillors on Monday 12th May 2008.

The vacancy on the Parish Council will be advertised for a statutory period of 14 days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
In the interim, East Hampshire District Council has been asked to use it's reserve powers to appoint 6 temporary people to fill the vacancies.
If within the 14 days, 10 or more electors write to the Returning Officer to ask for a bi-election, then one will be called.
However, if an election is not called, the Parish Council (which will consist of Alan Bridgman and the 6 temporary people appointed by East Hampshire District Council) will be entitled to co-opt replacements of their choice to fill the vacancies.
